One of Shanghai's most prominent site is the Bund. A wide avenue alongside the Huangpo River at a point where it's streams between Shanghai's centre of the city and the Pudong new development area. Along this stretch of avenue is a row of big buildings built in the twenties in a neoclassical style. Since the buildings are almost exclusively used by Chinese and other big foreign banks, and Shanghai is the most important trade city, one could call this China's Wall street. But everybody knows it as the Bund or Waitan. opposite the bankbuildings a concrete promenade provide many tourists a very interesting walkaround. On the other side of the river is the very impressive Pudong Skyline of highrise buildings like the JinMao and the Pearl TV tower. Vendors offer all sorts of souvenir of this tower. © Reenbo Multimedia, another pic by Bo Logiantara
