Currently China has 120 motorcycle manufacturers producing a total of 4 million motorcycles a year. From wellknown Japanese brands to original chinese brands. Prices are very cheap compared to western standards but the engines produced are usually low powered and have low speeds too (80-100 km.). Meanwhile bicycles are less and less attractive. Electric bicycles are becoming more popular. Some cities like Xiamen (Fujian province) prohibit twowheelers in their city-centre.
