The Tiger Leaping Gorge is one
of the deepest gorges in the world (3900 meters). Tourist have the choice
of two mountains to come to the place where once the tiger leaped according
to the legend. On the opposite site, you only have to descend a relatively
short but very steep path down. I pity the ascending tourist on the way
back. We choose the other bank which let's you walk along a 2.8 km level
road hacked in the mountains. For cheaters: you can hire a ricksha and
let yourself be drawn all the way. On the opposite there were teams of
men to carry you up and down the mountain slope.
