The Tiger Leaping Gorge is one of the deepest gorges in the world, some 3900 meters from the top till the YangTze waters, The entire gorge is about 16 Km.long. The famous Yang Tze river surges between left the Haba mountain and right the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. At one point the legend says a tiger once leaped over the wild river, hence the name.
