The Old Testament
Genesis is the record of God's creation of this world and the human race, the fall of the first human family into sin, the great flood that destroyed the entire world, and the history of the beginnings of the nation of Israel. From Exodus to Esther is the history of the people of Israel until about 400 B.C. Job, Psalms and Proverbs have the highest form of human feelings in literary expressions. The beauty and depth of these literary books are unequaled. They are mainly poems, essays and dramas. From Isaiah to Malachi are books of prophecy.
